An Insight Global Fortune 500 client is seeking a Senior Backend Java Engineer. In this role, youll design and build backend services using Java, implement and optimize GraphQL APIs for enterprise-scale applications, and manage production deployments on GCP. Youll work both independently and collaboratively to deliver features, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to scalable, high-performance systems. The role also offers opportunities to engage in load testing, explore GCP services, and boost productivity using AI tools like GitHub Copilot or Glean. Prior Home Depot experience is a plus, but not required.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years; senior-level (current or prior senior title)

Strong Java; delivers stories/epics independently and collaboratively

Enterprise-scale GraphQL experience

Comfortable with production deployments on GCP

Learns quickly and asks thoughtful questions Load testing; GCP exposure

Productivity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Glean)
