This position is responsible for creating and maintaining engineered retail labor standards across all 400+ stop and shop stores spanning 5 states under 13 different union contracts. They will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our 2,000+ Retail Engineered Labor Standards using a predetermined time methodology (MOST) across all depts in the store. The IE will also help the WFM team by supporting and improving reporting, budgeting and scheduling. Besides working on everyday tasks there are also ongoing projects related to labor management that the IE will contribute to with both analytics and Industrial engineering knowledge. This position will work closely with all areas of the business to evaluate new business proposals and proposed store process changes to understand impact to store labor hours and be able to effectively communicate findings in order to determine the net contribution of the proposal.

What we ask of you:
•Develop and maintain 2000+ labor standards for all 400+ stores across the brand utilizing the MOST predetermined time methodology.
•Review labor model continually, to find areas for simplification
•Effectively capture labor on the store level by completing site surveys and updating of store characteristics, store profiles and labor volume drivers. •Provide support to workforce management team to ensure the labor standards are appropriately supporting the budgeting, scheduling, and reporting functions of the team. •Evaluate new business proposals and proposed store process changes to understand impact to store labor hours and be able to effectively communicate findings. •Provide recommendations for store methods and labor management improvements.
•Conduct store level studies and evaluations to create and validate labor standards through interviewing and observing associates.
•Visit stores that have undergone renovations to make sure that the store characteristics are correctly adjusted.
•Visit stores that are piloting new projects and evaluate labor.
•Act as the industrial engineering liaison to key business stakeholders.
•Interact with Directors, VP's, and SVP's to provide expert opinion on labor allocation decisions and impact studies.
•Provide recommendations on labor impact of business process changes acting as an expert on the brands labor
•Provide insight in facility layout and store workflow design. Provide appropriate analysis to support recommendations on changes and facility improvement.
•Provide support to the Brand to ensure labor standards are properly configured to drive the appropriate labor hour's forecasts in enterprise workforce management system.
•Act as the industrial engineering liaison to key business stakeholders.

What you bring to the table:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
•2-4 years of professional experience in a related field
•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis
•Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
•Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems effectively
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights to diverse stakeholders
•Creative and innovative mindset with a proactive approach to challenges

•The ability to travel approximately 25% across the entire brand

The salary range for this position is $86,320-$129,480 and will be commensurate based on background, experience as well as internal equity.
