As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

Broad communication mission architecture background - SatCom preferred, but cellular or other ground wireless communications are of interest (e.g. voice/data satellite comms, MUOS, Iridium, Starlink, Link16, Cellular systems, etc.) Able to understand and explain the technical details of how particular SatCom mission functionality works Able to speak with the customer and negotiate new functionality based on mission priorities Understand the scope of interactions between different mission services Determine impacts of requested changes on the existing system architecture Support technical working groups to define interfaces among ground network and space-ground elements Contribute to the system modeling, architecture drawings, and architecture descriptions of system functions - including setting the top-level technical direction Possess strong written and verbal skills for conveying technical information What sets you apart:

Target salary range: USD $146,204.00/Yr. - USD $162,195.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
