Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Solution Level System Engineer to join our team supporting the PEO Missiles and Space, Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office, AMD Mission Command Product Office in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite. This is a System Engineer position with a focus on Mission Command Systems.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• The candidate in this role will work with contractors, government civilians and system operators to develop system level concepts that provide solutions to problems that often involve multiple systems from multiple product offices. These concepts define external interfaces, outline system behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to support HW and SW engineering teams.
• Tasks may also include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the system level concepts.
• System level concept development will utilize a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach in an Agile workflow and environment.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• 7 or more years of system engineering experience required.
• Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirement decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
• The candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
• The candidate must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions can meet the needs of the intended users.
• Must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
Desired Qualifications
• System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
• Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired.
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are a plus.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Education Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
