Summary We are seeking a high-caliber Software Verification Engineer I to join our innovative and fast-paced Software Verification team. This role focuses on ensuring software quality and compliance through requirements analysis, test design, execution, and defect resolution. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and brings strong testing discipline within regulated environments.
Responsibilities Analyze software requirements to develop effective verification strategies Plan, write, and execute test cases in accordance with Abbott practices, FDA regulatory requirements, and ISO standards Design and maintain test suites for new features and functionality Perform dry runs and formal verification and validation (V&V) activities Set up and configure required test equipment Identify, document, track, and close defects identified during V&V activities Participate in and contribute to requirements, design, and test reviews Work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field Foundational knowledge of software testing principles Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and lifecycle management tools Required Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate information that supports management decision-making Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills, including participation in meetings and presentations Proven ability to build strong working relationships across various organizational levels Proactive, self-motivated, and energized team player with a positive attitude
