Job Posting: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Location: Sylmar, CA (100% Onsite)
Bill Rate: $45-50/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Agile development team. This is a fully onsite role in Sylmar, CA , and we are only considering candidates within a one-hour commute due to daily onsite requirements.
As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our web and backend applications used in global clinical trials. You'll contribute to both automated and manual testing efforts in a regulated medical device environment .

.NET Core / .NET Framework
Angular
Oracle PL/SQL
Kubernetes
Azure DevOps (on-prem)
We follow Agile Scrum methodologies and emphasize collaboration, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated UI and integration tests using Playwright with C#
Execute manual and exploratory testing of Angular/.NET applications using tools such as Postman and JMeter
Write and manage test cases in accordance with regulatory standards
Create and run SQL queries (Oracle PL/SQL) for backend validation
Collaborate with developers and product owners to define testable acceptance criteria
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives)
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps
Report and track bugs with clear and concise documentation
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer
Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming
Experience testing Angular front-end and .NET back-end applications
Hands-on experience with Playwright , Selenium , or similar browser automation tools
Knowledge of SQL ; experience with Oracle PL/SQL is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines ; Azure DevOps preferred
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Comfortable writing or learning to write manual test cases
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter
Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker
Background in regulated environments (medical device, pharma, healthcare)
Experience using Azure DevOps Test Plans or other test case management tools
