As a Software Support Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Kindle digital product family, providing essential engineering support and collaborating with production operations teams for software release coordination and deployment. Key Responsibilities: Handle incoming support tickets and perform extensive troubleshooting across multiple products and features. Engage in operations and maintenance-driven coding projects, primarily utilizing Java and C++. Support software deployment in both staging and production environments. Create tools that enhance operations and maintenance processes. Provide system and support status reports. Take ownership of one or more digital products or components. Coordinate customer notifications and manage workflows to uphold service level agreements. Collaborate with the support team on active issues and contribute to building a robust knowledge base for the team. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or technical support. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in technical systems. Proficiency in Unix environments. Experience with scripting in modern programming languages. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with web services, distributed systems, and web application development. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID systems. Knowledge of REST web services, XML, and JSON.
