Software Quality Engineer You will be the Software Quality Engineer for our team in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Systems & Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) common processes that align with industry standards, such as AS9100 and CMMI, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the required standards and specifications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems and software development, test and evaluation, and project management, to guarantee compliance with contractual and company requirements. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start. Basic Qualifications STEM degree at Bachelors level or above, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education Ability to obtain a security clearance Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques Ability to interpret Schematic Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of Systems & Software QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test Good understanding of software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex Ability to interpret software design and code (C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements Test Equipment Hardware knowledge or background skills Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical Writing Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to travel Desired Skills STEM degree at Bachelors level or above, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred. ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems / models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification Experience with Government customers Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
