Software Engineer - Military Datalink Level 5 (Asc2 Program) Full-time Exp 10 -15 years Bonus Job Description Military datalink embedded software engineer. Must have a minimum of 6 years experience designing Link-16 and Link-11 software, with demonstrable knowledge of MIL-STD-6016 and MIL-STD-6011. Applicants without this experience will not be considered. Five years experience in the Datalink Infrastructure (DLI) design framework is highly desirable. Responsibilities include developing requirements, architectural and design approaches, and implementation efforts for common datalink software across multiple programs and in a product line environment. The role involves identifying and resolving issues in developing a single common code base, interfacing with Mission Computing peers, and ensuring correct interface definitions and protocol allocations. The engineer will develop solutions for complex problems, create and present design alternatives, and help resolve technical and programmatic issues affecting cost, schedule, and performance. Responsibilities also include implementing designs, performing unit and integration testing, providing technical leadership, overseeing AWS builds, and training team members. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance with special access. Works under consultative direction. Qualifications This position requires compliance with export control regulations; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. Education and experience: Bachelor's degree with 14+ years, Master's with 12+ years, or PhD with 9+ years in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. ABET accreditation preferred but not required. Must have an active or ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, including Top Secret. Preferred experience: 3+ years designing military datalinks Link-16 and/or Link-11 5 years in DLI design framework 3+ years in C++ design Knowledge of MIL-STD-6016 and MIL-STD-6011 Team leadership experience Debugging all datalink code Collaborating with engineers, management, and customers Competencies: Adaptability, Communication, Team Success, Innovation, Managing Work, Planning, Analytical Skills, Engineering Processes, Real-time Software Architecture & Domain Knowledge, System Trade Studies.
