Key Responsibilities: Utilize advanced AI and machine learning techniques to create intelligent language systems that enhance Meta's products and user experiences. Contribute to project impact goals and system architecture development. Design custom architectures, define practical use cases, and establish methodologies and benchmarks for evaluating varied approaches. Leverage your comprehensive understanding of machine learning systems and their interactions with adjacent systems. Provide technical leadership in a collaborative environment, making necessary architectural decisions for efficient software delivery. Mentor fellow AI Engineers and elevate the quality of AI outputs across the team. Drive team objectives and technical direction, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency across the organization. Communicate complex features and systems effectively and in detail. Write clean, maintainable code and resolve intricate problems that span across systems. Stay abreast of industry trends to assess and integrate new technologies. Collaborate with leaders across the organization to bolster team performance and organizational success. Spot new opportunities for the organization and influence key stakeholders regarding staffing and prioritizing new initiatives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Specialized experience in one or more machine learning/deep learning areas: Language (NLP, ASR, TTS, Conversational AI). Proficiency in developing language algorithms or infrastructure using C/C++ or Python. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in deep learning with PyTorch. Experience working with distributed systems or on-device algorithm development. Contributions to AI Publications. A proven ability to plan multi-year roadmaps aligning shorter-term projects with long-term vision. Extensive experience mentoring and influencing engineers across various organizations. Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from US$213,000 to US$293,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
