We're seeking someone to join our team as a developer in Client & Investor Analytics to face off directly with the Risk desk and work on projects in the quantitative development space. The candidate will work closely with the strats, understand their model and work with them to develop scalable performant solutions for initiatives such as factor backtest, clustering analysis etc. The candidate will work on another key initiative to integrate the CPRM analytics stack with the RICE framework

What you'll do in the role: Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives. Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics. Lead the design and development of complex software systems and applications. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and direction. Architect solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements. Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project roadmap and technical strategy. Implement and advocate for best practices in software engineering and design patterns. Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies. Lead efforts to refactor and optimize existing codebase for efficiency and maintainability. Maintain and enhance existing software applications to optimize performance and functionality. Integrate prepackaged software and services into the bank's technology ecosystem. Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure software quality and reliability. Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement. What you'll bring to the role: Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders Experienced understanding of business line and discipline. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex test scenarios. Strong proficiency in software design and architecture. Experience with large-scale distributed systems. Mentorship of junior team members and code review expertise. Expertise in performance optimization and scalability. Ability to drive technical initiatives and provide leadership. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
