Job Title: Software Engineer (3) - Core Engineer 2

Location: Dearborn, Michigan

Job Type: Contract

Expected Hours per Week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Friday, Hybrid.

Pay Range: $52-55 per hour

About the Role We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Core Engineer 2) to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software solutions supporting Ford’s PLM ecosystem. This role spans the full software development lifecycle and requires hands?on Teamcenter experience.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications end?to?end

Partner with customers to understand use cases, requirements, and pain points

Build scalable, high?quality solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and Agile methodologies

Define software architecture, integration approaches, and deployment strategies

Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, and cross?functional teams

Establish and execute testing strategies aligned with industry best practices

Improve application performance and development efficiency through continuous optimization

Apply secure coding practices to protect user data (encryption, anonymization, etc.)

Develop user?friendly interfaces and backend services (APIs, microservices)

Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to next?generation solutions

4+ years of overall IT experience

3+ years of hands?on software development
