Role Overview As an SDE II in the Retail Integration Merchant Experience team of the Just Walk Out organization, you will play a pivotal role as an autonomous contributor, responsible for producing high-quality applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining robust software across various technologies, including frontend, backend, and low-level systems. You will need to consider legacy code, conceptualize adaptable solutions, optimize component reuse, manage costs, engage in code reviews and design discussions, and mentor junior engineers. A focus on operational excellence, problem-solving, and fostering team growth through active engagement and mentorship is essential. About The Team The Retail Platform team within the Physical Stores Organization specializes in integrating retail systems for third-party retailers utilizing Just Walk Out technology. Your work will encompass data ingestion, payment processing, compliance, and developing self-service tools that enable retailers to efficiently manage their stores and data. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in system design or architecture, emphasizing scalability and reliability. At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including coding, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations.
