As a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET), you will join the team to drive client onboarding and account opening solutions through innovation, automation, and agile delivery practices. This role is a part of the digital transformation initiative and is focused on delivering integrated, client-centric experiences through rapid iteration and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead automation strategy, continuous integration efforts, and ensure delivery excellence by embedding quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute test automation strategies for APIs, web services, UI, middleware, and more.
Build and maintain automation frameworks to support rapid and reusable testing.
Collaborate with developers to integrate robust testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain and configure test environments, tools, and automation infrastructure.
Perform code reviews and support automated unit/component testing practices.
Implement and promote TDD, BDD, and ATDD practices using Gherkin and Cucumber.
Provide actionable metrics and reporting to measure automation efficiency and quality.
Drive continuous improvements in automation, testing practices, and delivery pipelines.
Coordinate with DevOps and QA teams to streamline deployment and reduce lead times.
Serve as a technical mentor and lead on automation best practices and tool selection.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: 6-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation.
3-5 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
Proficiency in WebDriverIO with JavaScript or TypeScript for UI automation.
Strong programming skills in Ruby, Java, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
Experience with Selenium WebDriver and exploratory testing methodologies.
Previous technical leadership experience in test automation initiatives.
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Zephyr, MTM, and test case management platforms.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and GIT.
Knowledge of web services virtualization and dynamic test data generation.
Experience with Agile, lean practices, and continuous delivery strategies.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
