Job Summary:
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in a highly performant and geographically dispersed team. Our team is dedicated to building internal tooling that is used organization-wide, ensuring reliability for our technology platform. In this role, you will ensure our products are highly performant, available, and facilitate operational efficiency. You will contribute to creating software that empowers operators to troubleshoot and resolve customer-impacting issues independently, as well as support internal testing and development of integrations with our services platform. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role: Write and maintain software solutions: Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality code to develop reliable, maintainable software solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with QA, Product and backend engineering teams to support the internal testing and development of integrations with our services platform.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Debug and fix issues in existing code, working with team members to improve application functionality
Continuous Learning: Take initiative in learning new programming languages, tools, and techniques related to software development and cloud computing.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training: Basic Qualifications 3+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent qualifications.
Intermediate programming skills in Python, ReactJS.
Experience working with REST APIs or GraphQL for building and consuming web services.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and their core services (., S3, Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB).
Exposure to build and deployment technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience collaborating with team members in a geographically dispersed environment.
Self-learner, independent, excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Proven architectural skills and ability to communicate about software processes, architectures and design patterns.
Understanding of security best practices in cloud-based environments.
Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud costs, management of capacity, and optimization strategies.
Understanding of concurrency and asynchronous architecture.
Required Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or work experience.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $120,300 to $161,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
