About the Role:
We are hiring a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager to join our Austin office. This is a senior-level technical leadership role where you'll manage the design and delivery of public infrastructure projects across Central Texas. The role blends engineering expertise, project management, and client engagement, and plays a key part in our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater systems, including pipelines, force mains, pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants
- Oversee the preparation of technical documents: plans, specifications, permits, schedules, and cost estimates
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and QA/QC for multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, CAD designers, and sub-consultants
- Maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, especially in Austin and San Antonio
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure high standards in technical work
- Participate in technical proposals and business development activities
- Support coordination with financial and marketing teams as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 12+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or PM capacity
- Strong technical knowledge of water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction in Texas
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams successfully
- U.S. citizen or green card holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with City of Austin and San Antonio public agencies
- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience in proposal development and client-facing roles
- Hands-on experience with permitting and regulatory compliance in Texas
