We are currently seeking applicants for a Senior / Staff Product Engineer AUTO . You will oversee all phases of product engineering, new product development, and production support for our Automotive MOSFET product line. Job Location: The ideal candidate will work remotely in the Taipei, Taiwan area, known for its vibrant culture, diverse culinary scene, temples, art, entertainment, and green spaces. Alternatively, work may be at Vishay offices in Newport, UK, or San Jose, CA, which offer excellent quality of life, scenic surroundings, and a lively social scene. Responsibilities include: Technical ownership of new and established advanced commercial/industrial products within the Silicon MOSFET Division. Leading and managing new product introductions from definition through characterization, qualification, and release, coordinating with Market Development, R&D, Packaging, Device Design, and manufacturing teams. Supporting product troubleshooting with manufacturing, quality, product marketing, and application teams in a fast-paced automotive environment. Creating technical presentations for product issues. Collaborating with wafer fabrication and assembly teams across Europe and Asia-Pacific to improve yield and quality. Defining statistical testing methods to optimize yield and reduce defects. Reviewing electrical and thermal characterization data and preparing datasheets for new products. Supporting cost reduction initiatives through engineering evaluations and qualifications. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or related field. 8+ years of product engineering experience with knowledge of discrete power MOSFET devices and trench MOS technologies. Proven ability to drive new product development from concept to release. Experience in creating product datasheets with electrical and thermal data. Strong problem-solving skills using statistical analytics and yield management software. Experience supporting offshore product transfers (packaging and wafer). Familiarity with MOSFET ATE test methods is advantageous. Ability to collaborate with international teams across Europe, Asia, and the USA. Knowledge of 8D and FMEA processes.
