We have an immediate need for an onsite Senior Software Systems Quality Engineer (Quality Assurance/Compliance) to support Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS). The successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of Tewksbury (travel compensation not included). Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering (SWQE) department provides services throughout the product development lifecycle. Job duties include classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces. Common SWQE tasks involve review of SW Release Packages, CDRL Deliverables, SW Investigation Requests, SW Trouble Reports, Physical Media, Test Artifacts, Peer Reviews, Control Boards, Tracking Books, Command Media, Test Witnessing, and Audits. Key Locations You Will Support: Software Quality collaborates with Engineering (Software, Systems, Safety), other Quality functions (Hardware, Product, Mission), including Program Quality Leads. Main activities occur daily at Tewksbury MA site. Test witnessing occurs quarterly at Andover MA and annually at Pelham NH. Potential annual visits to Marlborough MA. Key Programs: Includes Patriot, Ghost-Eye, Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, and others. This is an Onsite role in Tewksbury, MA What You Will Do: Compliance: Ensure digital products meet contractual and corporate requirements. Review and approve inputs/outputs. Processes: Use modern software development and quality practices, adopting Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. Improvement: Conduct evaluations, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions. Products: Maintain technical data integrity, measure quality attributes, and participate in testing and releases. Teamwork: Collaborate with customers, development, and testing teams; provide guidance to management and peers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Engineering experience. 8+ years in a Quality or Technical role applying advanced concepts across at least three areas such as Compliance Evaluation, Requirements Verification, Software Processes, Maintenance, Defect Management, etc. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Root Cause analysis, Metrics, PowerPoint presentations, Quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100), Development tools, Agile, DevSecOps, and project leadership.
