What You'll Be Doing: Own and advocate for the health and quality of the solutions the team creates, participate in an on-call rotation, and respond to incidents when necessary. Design and implement solutions for the Automox platform, servicing over 1 million endpoints worldwide across Windows, Mac, and Linux. Build and deliver high-quality technical solutions for new platform and client-side features for our endpoint software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions. Promote and lead software development best practices through collaboration, producing well-designed code. Focus on maintaining a quality-first mindset while becoming familiar with the systems you create, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Background & Skills Required: 5+ years of software development experience with a track record in maintaining and delivering production software for cloud-connected client-side applications. Proficiency in Java, including experience in building cloud-based services and integrations. The ideal candidate will use their extensive engineering background effectively across various programming languages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including asynchronous collaboration and documentation to maintain visibility of work. Expertise in Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS application development. A data-driven approach to problem-solving that emphasizes customer focus and innovative decision-making. Experience building applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) while prioritizing security best practices. Engagement in developing content and content delivery applications utilized by SaaS platforms and Agent/IoT software. Strong familiarity with systems programming, networking, virtual machine orchestration, DevOps, and shell-scripting languages (Bash/Powershell). The listed salary range reflects the base pay for this position. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and benefits. Actual earnings may vary based on direct experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location. Location: We are a fully distributed company, working remotely with concentrated hubs in Austin, TX, Tampa, FL, and Boulder, CO. Collaboration spaces are being established in these areas for in-person discussions and team-building opportunities.
