Position: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Only NO SPONSORSHIP Onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona Salary up to $135K plus 10% bonus and benefits Position Summary: As a member of the Quality Assurance organization, the Senior Software Development Engineer in Test will play a pivotal role in optimizing testing efforts by implementing quality engineering and automation best practices into the SDLC. They will lead in the design and development of test automation frameworks, automation of test cases, and test data creation. The Sr. SDET will work closely with agile teams, including developers and product teams, to ensure delivery of high-quality products. Additionally, this position will mentor other members of the Quality Assurance team to support organizational goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: Develop robust and scalable test automation frameworks and solutions supporting various testing types (Functional, System, Integration, Regression, End-to-End, Performance) adhering to IT best practices and compliance standards. Automate supporting activities such as test data creation and maintenance as appropriate. Create and execute automated test cases for UI applications and web services. Develop and share test automation progress and execution reports across the IT organization. Participate in product reviews, design sessions, and agile ceremonies to understand applications and systems under test. Partner with development and DevOps teams to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor and train team members to contribute effectively to test automation efforts. Assist in developing QA best practices, standards, metrics, and reports. Analyze documentation and specifications to determine functionality. Contribute to project planning and QA estimations. Assist in creating and executing test plans and scripts to ensure systems meet specifications. Collaborate with UAT team during test execution, analyze, and reproduce issues discovered. Contribute to delivering quality products that meet standards, compliance, and deadlines. Additional duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: 8+ years in development, SDET, or similar roles. 5+ years automating UI and web service tests using tools like TestNG, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, RestAssured. Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, Git, Maven, etc. 2+ years in a senior SDET role mentoring others. Experience developing test frameworks from scratch. Experience with agile testing methodologies. Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, Spring, JUnit, Cloud, CI/CD, Git, performance testing. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Strong understanding of SDLC and agile processes. Ability to develop complex test automation solutions. Experience automating web application tests, including UI, database, and API testing. Experience in performance/load testing. Collaborate in various testing methods and analyze results to identify issues. Work with development teams on release scheduling and updates. Self-motivated, quick learner, adaptable to new and legacy technologies. Excellent documentation skills; Atlassian tools experience a plus. Experience with build and deployment pipelines. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
