Join our team as a Senior Security Intelligence Engineer within the AWS Threat Intelligence team, part of Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI). We are dedicated to developing actionable intelligence on advanced cyber threats targeting AWS services and our customers. As part of our mission, we analyze intelligence from various sources, both internal and external, to create a comprehensive understanding of sophisticated cyber actors and their tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Your expertise will help us proactively identify and mitigate malicious activity. Key Responsibilities: Conduct deep dive analysis of malicious artifacts. Examine large, unstructured data sets to discover new threats and recognize patterns or anomalies. Develop security techniques and automation for internal use, enhancing operational efficiency. Contribute to a greater understanding of the cyber threat landscape by analyzing current threats. Create and publish threat intelligence products based on your findings. Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems (MIS), Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technology experience (5+ years without a degree). Minimum of 5 years of experience tracking sophisticated cyber threat actors. Experience in system security, network security, application security, and/or digital forensics (5 years). Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or similar languages (2 years). Experience with SQL or other relational database query languages (2 years). Preferred Qualifications: MS degree in a related field. Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, or OS X internals. Experience with malware analysis and large-scale data analysis. Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and their APIs. Experience in using AWS services for analytical purposes. Ability to build automated tools using Python.
