As a Senior Research Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing innovative Smartglasses, AR glasses, and VR headsets, contributing to areas such as: Optics and displays Computer vision Audio and graphics Brain-computer interfaces Interaction technologies (haptics, tracking) Perception science True telepresence We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with a variety of dedicated researchers and engineers to craft a next-generation research platform, harnessing wearable technology and AI. Your Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical objectives and lead their implementation. Communicate intricate features and systems effectively. Monitor industry trends to evaluate and nurture new technologies. Partner with organization leaders to enhance team and organizational performance. Identify goals, strategies, and engineering challenges within the organization. Advocate for enhanced product quality and engineering efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 12+ years of programming experience. 12+ years in software engineering, including leading impactful projects and mentoring engineers. Proven capability to drive large cross-functional engineering initiatives. Experience with prototype or novel hardware. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building AR/VR products from concept to launch. Familiarity with virtual reality platforms (e.g., Rift, VIVE, Gear VR). Experience delivering products to millions of users or contributing to establishing new product lines. Background in developing backend services or platforms.
