We are currently partnered up with a growing Plastics Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Senior Quality Engineer to the team due to growth. This position will report up into the Director of Quality and will join a strong team of quality professionals. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry and will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Job Description
The Senior Quality Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing will be responsible for the following: Lead quality engineering initiatives and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians
Establish, maintain, and improve quality systems, procedures, and documentation in alignment with company and regulatory standards
Review part and mold designs for quality risks; participate in design for manufacturability and quality (DFM/DQA)
Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for internal and customer issues
Oversee statistical process control (SPC), measurement system analysis (MSA), and process capability (Cp/Cpk) studies
Interface directly with customers and suppliers regarding quality performance, audits, and problem resolution
Support production in resolving quality-related issues on the floor; lead material review board (MRB) meetings as needed
Lead internal audits and support external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits)
Participate in or lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and PPAP submissions
Develop and analyze key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma tools

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Senior Quality Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing will have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or related field)
3+ years of quality engineering experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.)
Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485)
Proficient in GD&T, blueprint reading, and technical specifications
Experience with CAPA, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and auditing
Proficient with inspection tools and techniques (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification
Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols (especially for medical device or highly regulated industries)
Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, MasterControl)
Experience managing projects or cross-functional teams

The Successful Senior Quality Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following: Base Salary of $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
