Essential Job Function:

Provide technical and procedural engineering support to assembly floor operations.

Develop and implement process improvements including but not limited to, assembly and test instructions, visual aids fixturing and machine automation and quality checks

Investigate and solve production problems root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive actions.

Identify and quantify cost reductions and quality improvements.

Analyze existing operating methods and initiate and develop new methods to improve economy and quality (includes cycle time analysis, product flow evaluations, non-value-added analysis).

Interact with design engineering, manufacturing, and other groups to achieve performance reliability improvements in the product.

Develop and document quality plans and procedures.

Assist manufacturing personnel, vendors, and subcontractors in meeting quality standards.

Design and conduct studies to determine causes of quality non-conformance.

Support ISO and SPC programs (internal/external audits, documentation development and maintenance process capability studies).

Knowledge of bills of materials, routings.


Requirements:

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

The successful individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are also desirable:

· BSME required

· 5 years minimum experience required

· Industrial automation and mechanical assembly maintenance experience

· Ability to utilize email and Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel)

· Previous experience with MRP systems

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Versed in Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic systems

· Solidworks and/or AutoCAD experience preferred
