Join Oracle's innovative Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team as a Senior Principal Software Engineer focused on the AI Data Platform, where you will empower global organizations to fully leverage their data. You will be instrumental in providing architectural guidance aimed at designing, optimizing, and scaling modern AI/ML data platforms. As a vital player in Oracle's Analytics and AI Service Excellence organization, you'll collaborate closely with enterprise clients, product management, and engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment of Oracle AI Data Platform, Generative AI services, and associated cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage your strong data engineering, high-performance computing (HPC), and data science expertise, including Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and MLOps to support distributed systems.
Engage in full-stack development encompassing web applications, RESTful APIs, and scalable deployment of your solutions.
Design, implement, and maintain robust software components and services catering to AI/ML workloads.
Create APIs, SDKs, and automation frameworks to enhance the adoption of Oracle AI Data Platform and Generative AI services.
Optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed data and AI systems.
Work collaboratively with diverse teams (engineering, product, and field) to address complex technical challenges.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes to guarantee top-quality deliverables.
Document technical designs and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives (such as blogs, internal documents, and demonstrations).
Consistently explore new tools, frameworks, and best practices in AI, cloud, and data engineering.
Primary Skills:
Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks (e.g., MCP, LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel).
Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases (e.g., Oracle 26ai, FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate).
Familiarity with OCI Generative AI Services and model lifecycle workflows.
Solid Python programming and REST API development skills.
Exposure to the development of autonomous agents and orchestration pipelines.
Experience in cloud platforms, especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Big Data Services.
Proficient in big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL.
Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient complex data architectures.
Ability to manage and optimize large-scale databases effectively.
Strong understanding of networking concepts for data transmission optimization and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills complemented by effective communication and collaboration abilities.
A commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with the latest trends in big data technologies.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with various cloud platforms.
Qualifications or certification in Data Platforms or related fields.

The US hiring range is from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. Eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral is possible.
