With this facility, we are searching for a Senior Operating Engineer to help maintain this vital complex and its equipment.

What you will do: Under general supervision, monitors and inspects equipment. Operates the steam and chilled water plant by adjusting and controlling steam and chilled water, and performing water tests and analysis: Performs maintenance on complex equipment. Maintains logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities. Conducts various water tests to check chemical levels. Determines when to adjust the chemical levels. Discusses any problems with Lead or Supervisor. Troubleshoots any problems with the equipment. Performs periodic, preventive maintenance inspections. May train new employees, including but not limited to, steam and chill equipment operation and the importance of maintaining equipment records. May train employees how to mix/combine chemicals and any safety precautions, and the proper use of various chemicals. Performs more complex plant maintenance duties, to include but not limited to maintaining equipment and performing repairs within the individual's level of expertise. Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, AND: 18 months of steam and chill water plant operation experience.
Certifications and Licenses: City of Tulsa Unlimited First Class Stationary Engineer License. Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
