JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals. Key Role Responsibilities - Core ME ENGINEER FAMILY - CORE Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems. Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for select projects. Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process. Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection process. Assists in developing sequencing requirements and solutions to meet schedule requirements. Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and develop constructability review reports. Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met, and work is completed in a timely, quality manner. Supports the shop drawing/submittal process for contract compliance. Assists with the commissioning process, including developing pre-functional checklists, testing procedures, and conducting functional testing. Promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policy and ensuring its implementation throughout the organization. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core In addition, this position will be responsible for: Completing increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities. Developing budget estimates and reviewing design options with value engineering suggestions. Coordinating scopes of work during bidding and developing sequencing and scheduling inputs. Reviewing design documents for quality issues and developing quality control programs. Performing inspections and developing testing procedures and checklists. Reviewing and approving shop drawings. Generating and issuing commissioning plans and verifying deficiencies. Mentoring less experienced team members and creating innovative tools for process improvement. Supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and timely. Strong verbal and written communication skills (Intermediate). Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate). Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in JE Dunn construction M/E tools and software. Knowledge of construction management methods. Ability to build relationships and collaborate internally and externally. Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required). Equivalent relevant experience considered in lieu of degree. Experience 5+ years construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred). Working Environment Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
