Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and lead complex manufacturing processes and documentation. This role requires expertise in tooling selection, work-holding, machining and finishing processes, as well as the ability to create custom tooling and fixtures for prototype manufacturing and qualification cycles. Responsibilities
Select tooling, work-holding, machining, and finishing processes. Create custom tooling and fixtures to support prototype manufacturing and qualification cycles. Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Utilize precision inspection and validation instruments, including optical comparators, micrometers, and standard measurement test equipment. Manage resources to maximize throughput and meet schedules. Apply the latest manufacturing and industry-related processes. Coordinate and manage project schedules effectively. Participate in periodic product development and design review meetings. Collaborate with a team to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Apply problem-solving techniques, such as root-cause analysis, to develop solutions and drive reliability. Essential Skills
Proficiency in 5-axis CNC tooling and fixture design. Experience in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering. Ability to receive specifications from internal teams or customers and read drawings. Capability to put together proposals and engage in Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Strong troubleshooting skills to address and resolve manufacturing issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or 10 years of experience as a tooling manufacturing engineer. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranbury, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $64.90/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
