Overview:
Our client, a precision aerospace components manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with deep experience in CNC machining and complex assembly operations. This is a strategic role for an engineer who thrives on taking ownership, improving processes, and seeing projects through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead continuous improvement projects across CNC machining and mechanical assembly lines.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize BOMs and routings for aerospace components.
- Support and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Interpret engineering drawings/specs into actionable manufacturing solutions.
- Design custom tooling and fixtures to improve cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Partner with capital project teams and materials review board (MRB).
- Ensure AS9100 compliance across operations.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (required).
- 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally with aerospace or precision manufacturing experience.
- Strong CNC machining knowledge (programming experience is a big plus).
- Proven Lean/CI background with a get-it-done mindset.
- Strong hands-on approach and technical problem-solving skills.
