Senior Network Engineer Employment Type: Full Time Department: Information Technology CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Network Engineer to join a team focused on evaluating, enhancing, and maintaining a large-scale network project that includes both wired and wireless infrastructure. The role involves designing and implementing network solutions, consulting on hardware and software, and conducting systems testing, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will interface with governmental personnel, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors to deliver effective network solutions. We foster an environment supporting professional growth and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Manage NPS network infrastructure and improve monitoring/reporting capabilities. Develop and maintain network documentation. Review best practices and recommend improvements. Administer wireless onboarding, monitor network health, and apply security patches. Assess and optimize network infrastructure. Define testing procedures and implement technology solutions. Provide design guidance and training on network solutions. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Masters preferred. Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Certifications: CWNA, BCNE or equivalent. Experience with RF survey tools, layer 2/3 protocols, network security, troubleshooting RF/LAN issues, Linux, MS Server, VMware. At least 3 years experience with disaster recovery, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and cyber threat analysis. Knowledge of Agile/SCUM methodologies and industry certifications.
