Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering 3+ years of embedded design experience, particularly with C/C++ Experience with bare metal and RTOS environments Familiar with JIRA/Confluence or similar project management tools Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit design and analysis Preferred Qualifications: Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field 5+ years of experience in embedded software development focusing on C/C++ and networking Experience with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) or Audio Video Bridging (AVB) Strong understanding of gPTP (IEEE 802.1AS) and AVTP (IEEE 1722) Familiarity with Layer 2 Ethernet protocols, including multicast, VLANs, and Quality of Service Embedded TCP/IP network stack knowledge (e.g., lwIP) Understanding of single-pair Ethernet standards and PLCA concepts Proficient in network debugging tools, particularly Wireshark Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers in RTOS environments Familiarity with Zephyr OS If you believe you can contribute to Ford's mission, we encourage you to apply! Visa sponsorship is available, and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Responsibilities: Configure, integrate, and validate gPTP for network time synchronization Manage network stack configurations for VLANs and multicast traffic Optimize T1S network reliability through effective configuration Develop APIs for audio data retrieval and network time synchronization Analyze network performance using tools like Wireshark Collaborate with audio engineers for successful system integration
