What you can expect as a Senior Full Stack Engineer:
Design, develop, and maintain digital portals ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance.
Build, optimize, and maintain backend Edge APIs and services that support business operations.
Ensure best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and system design are followed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks in both frontend and backend systems.
Continuously monitor application performance and optimize for speed, reliability, and security.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development efficiency.
Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews to ensure robust system scalability.
Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Work closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts to ensure feature development aligns with user needs.
Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical challenges.
Works closely with Quality Assurance members to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of systems/applications.
Perform code/design reviews to ensure quality code is delivered and control technical debt.
Participate in daily scrum meetings, backlog grooming, project planning, and technical design workshops.
Provide a healthy work environment to project teams and ensure IT Application Delivery set objectives are met within stipulated time.
What we are looking for as a Senior Full Stack Engineer:
Deep understanding of full stack development, including both client-side and server-side technologies.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in implementation of Guidewire Digital Portals.
Proven ability to manage and enhance customer-facing applications and enterprise backend systems.
Develop enterprise-grade applications for our insurance platforms using modern Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js and Jutro.
Practical experience working with the Guidewire Jutro framework.
Proficiency in React.js with experience in building responsive UIs.
Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and system optimization best practices.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to debug system issues and resolve defects.
Ability to manage time and complete multiple tasks while continually meeting deadlines.
Thorough knowledge in various technical domains of application development; understanding of development methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle of applications.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of team.
Ability to perform well and professionally in a demanding, high performance IT organization.
Use of common programming tools demonstrated ability to follow software specifications and ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel of Business and IT teams.
Experience with Continuous Integration tools to automate code testing.
Experience in handling and engaging vendors and able to connect and communicate effectively with Architects to present research findings and analysis to make recommendations.
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Deep experience in both frontend and backend development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React for frontend, and backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes.
Strong experience in Node.js, Java, including building RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of component-based architecture, modular code organization, and reusable UI patterns.
Handle frontend development efforts using TailwindCSS, custom component libraries, and responsive design principles.
Experience working in agile development environments with cross-functional teams.
