As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our situational awareness capabilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Software Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of frontend applications. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, data scientists, and downstream solution teams. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of our development processes. Agile Practices: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies. Job Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with progressive software development experience. Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in frontend software development. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue.js). Strong understanding of TypeScript, CSS3, and HTML5. Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex). Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins). Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to undergo a CI polygraph. Preferred Skills and Experience: Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, amCharts). Geospatial Tools: Experience with map-based applications using OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Google Maps. Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS-hosted environments, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes. Additional Skills: Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS). Knowledge of RESTful APIs. Familiarity with Storybook to write reusable components for design systems. Comfortable working with Linux systems.
