What You Will Be Doing: As a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer at Helion, you will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across our fabrication and manufacturing facilities. You will partner closely with technical teams, site leadership, and executive stakeholders to build a safe, compliant, and high performing environment. You’ll shape and reinforce a safety-first culture by providing operational oversight, regulatory expertise, and ownership of key safety initiatives. You will report to the EHS Manager and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office. You Will: Champion and Strengthen Helion’s Safety Culture – Promote ownership of safe work practices, facilitate Safety Committee meetings, and drive continuous improvement through active engagement and communication Ensure Compliance and Drive Continuous Improvement – Lead audits and inspections to proactively identify risks and close compliance gaps. Develop and track corrective actions to support adherence to OSHA, hazardous materials regulations, contractor safety standards, and incident investigation protocols Lead Safety Program Development and Execution – Create job hazard analyses, high-risk work procedures, and materials handling improvements. Ensure documentation is up to date and training requirements are met across teams Deliver Operational Safety Oversight and Support – Conduct routine walkthroughs, providing real-time safety support Required Skills: 8+ years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing, R&D, energy, or high-complexity industrial environments Demonstrated success building and scaling EHS programs from the ground up Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety policies, and risk management practices Experience managing audits, incident investigations, and implementing effective mitigation strategies Demonstrated ability to influence teams, communicate effectively across functions, and promote a safety-first mindset Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time and climb stairs and ladders as needed Must be able to use all required PPE CSP certification preferred #LI-Onsite #LI-MM1 Total Compensation and Benefits Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. Annual Base Pay $130,000 - $170,000 USD Benefits Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to: • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families
