Senior Electrical Project Engineer

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified, responsible, self-sufficient, energetic Senior Electrical Project Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ office. This role will have experience in power system and substation design coordination. The candidate will perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard engineering and design techniques for traction power substations for rail systems.
Primary Job Duties:
Attending CAHSR project meetings, internal (JV) and external (Auth), as needed
Monitoring workload share agreements between SYSTRA and AZTEC/TYPSA
Evaluating assigned workload vs. progress vs. billings
Detailed technical review of work product from both TYPSA and SYSTRA Teams for consistency. Coordination of interfaces.
Technical support to the JV and Auth for Interconnection Agreements w/PG&EMaintain firm standards and consistency
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) Electrical certification is required
Working knowledge of NEC 2020 & 2017
Proven experience in electrical design, full knowledge of NEC code and experience with design review and coordination of mid and high voltage electrical infrastructures.
Experience with Interconnection Agreement requests process for large infrastructures is required.
Electrical design knowledge is required and Traction Power Substation project experience is preferred
Overhead line design knowledge is a plus
Strong project management, reporting, and technical skills as well as attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
