Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Sr. Electrical Hardware Design Engineerposition that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer (Contract Labor) to join our cross-disciplinary team responsible for designing advanced electronic hardware. You will play a pivotal role in developing new 3U VPX modules that enhance the capabilities and cyber-resilience of mission-critical systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.

Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $90.00/hour Contract W2
Schedule: Onsite

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer (Contract Labor) to join our cross-disciplinary team responsible for designing advanced electronic hardware. You will play a pivotal role in developing new 3U VPX modules that enhance the capabilities and cyber-resilience of mission-critical systems.
You will engage in all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, routing constraints definition, PCB/PWB routing oversight, and support for manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition, knowledge of VITA/VPX standards including VITA 46 and 65, and use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
What sets you apart:
- An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
- Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
- Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces (10G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen 4+, etc.).
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab test equipment.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
- Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed.
