We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in either our Boston or Burlington, MA office. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, mission critical projects, life and contribute to innovative, resilient designs that shape the built environment. What You’ll Do: Lead the design of power distribution, lighting and controls, backup power (UPS/generators), and renewable energy systems with a strength in mission critical environments (e.g., data centers, secure facilities)and life science. Handle project coordination, technical calculations, site surveys and client management. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics. Develop sketches and technical documentation for complex power systems. Guide junior engineers and designers in the layout of electrical systems. Attend project and client meetings, collaborating with owners, architects, and developers. Prepare technical reports, write feasibility studies, prepare cost estimates and specifications and code compliance documentation. Review submittals, specifications, and construction documents. Conduct site visits, construction inspections, and punch list observations. Stay current with building codes, trends, and mission critical standards. Required: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering (ABET-accredited). A minimum of 7 years of electrical systems design experience building technology in building technology Experience designing systems for mission critical, life science, commercial, or institutional projects. Solid understanding of applicable building, electrical and energy codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach. Experience mentoring junior staff Preferred: PE license (or ability to obtain). 10 years’ experience with data enter / mission critical power distribution experience LEED, WELL, or other industry certifications. Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. Project management experience, including team coordination and client communications. Ability to travel for occasional site visits.
