Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Design Engineer at our corporate offices in Fort Smith, AR.

We are an API Q1 Quality Management Certified company and we manufacture/refurbish specialized drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

We are seeking candidates to provide strategic leadership to the Engineering Department by serving as a visionary with the ability to assist with day-to-day operations. Incumbent for this position will:

• Oversee the work of Design Engineers by helping them direct their work
• Provide technical knowledge on matters pertaining to Engineering Principles
• Ensure all designs, plans, drawings, etc. are in compliance with Q1 Quality Standards
• Oversee the design and development of new products from conception through production
• Utilize creative thinking skills to design/re-design equipment
• Analyze test results and propose changes based on data output

Position requires:

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Preferred candidates will have Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degrees
  • Preferred candidates will have a Professional Engineer's License
• 10 years experience in product design
• 5 years experience in a supervisory/management role
• Strong CAD skills
• A thorough understanding of mechanical stress calculations
• The ability to apply industry standards to equipment design
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong computer skills
