About the Role:
As a Database Developer, your primary role involves analyzing and rewriting to enhance legacy code or database queries and procedures to improve database performance and query time per second. Able to work with the Application Development team to understand business needs and write advanced TSQL functions and stored procedures. Assist in archiving, automation and query writing best practices.
Responsibilities:
Over 5+ years of professional experiences in writing SQL Scripts, including complex queries, views, triggers, functions and stored procedures.
Working cohesively with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
Participate in code reviews to validate effectiveness and quality of code.
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests complex query analysis and implementation that support multiple applications and business units.
Perform analysis, design, estimation and development of the database components.
Solid understanding of data integrity, primary keys, foreign keys and data consistency.
Fundamental knowledge of query optimizer, query cache and index analysis for optimization efforts.
High critical thinking skills to assess alternatives and propose effective solutions.
Openness to discussions aligning with business objectives and strategies.
Expertise in Database Architecture in the environment that handles large volumes of data.
Deep understanding of RDBMS database architecture and multi-platform knowledge as SQL Server and MySQL query patterns.

Success in a Senior Database Engineer role is marked by a blend of deep technical expertise, operational excellence, proactive problem-solving, and strategic thinking. Outages and performance issues are rare-and when they occur, root causes are quickly diagnosed and permanently addressed.
You design and implement data solutions that align with business needs and long-term scalability.
All databases are compliant with relevant standards
Backups, restores, deployments, and schema migrations are automated and tested.
Candidate Requirements:
Required: BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
Preferred 5-10 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Should be proficient in SQL Query Tuning and Slow Query Optimizations with rewrite in an optimized way.
Expertise in performance tuning especially tuning complex queries, procedure and index strategies.
Liaise with Developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
Implement processes and procedures for the development and release of products/projects and facilitate high quality and rapid deployments.
Follow agile development methodologies to deliver solutions and product features by following DevOps practices.
Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
AWS Cloud experience is preferred with CLI and integration coding expertise to win on prem to cloud environment.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Strong root cause analysis.
Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to work towards proactive solutions.
Experience using SQL Profiler and examining Execution Plans and query stores with slow query log analysis.
Required RDBMS knowledge of SQL Server 2012-2016 / MySQL 5.8,
Database Administration, Tuning, Management, Security SQL Server Integration Services
Willingness to learn at all times.
Willingness to learn in new technologies.
Preferred: Involvement with the MSSQL Server Community;
Membership in PASS, active in forums or newsgroups.
Certification is a plus; MCTS, MCITP, MySQL, MVP Familiarization with Idera, Rubrik, Splunk.
Experience working with VLDB > 1TB Familiarity with NoSQL.
Experience with MySQL and/or SingleStore (formerly MemSQL).
Exposure to AWS - DBA experience on AWS hosted databases would be a plus.
Understanding of AWS Cloud watch Alerts for RDS Technical interview may include demonstration of technical skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation range: $103,000 - $140,000
