Position Title: Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week)
Position Status: 1+ year contract
Position Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to help design and build the next generation of data solutions powering decision-making across the enterprise. You'll play a key role in managing complex data workflows within the Azure ecosystem, working with modern tools like Azure Databricks, Data Lake, and Data Explorer.
Top 3 Skills Required:
Databricks Data Warehouse & strong data warehousing principles ETL/ELT pipeline development and maintenance at scale Programming in Python & SQL (Scala/Java a plus) Responsibilities: Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure Work hands-on with Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Data Explorer Ensure data compatibility with Databricks Unity Catalog Support data scientists and analysts with clean, scalable data solutions Implement data governance, ensure data quality and integrity Mentor junior engineers and help evolve our data architecture strategy Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, ideally in cloud environments Hands-on experience with Azure data services and Databricks Strong Python and SQL skills (Scala/Java optional) Deep understanding of data modeling and warehousing principles Knowledge of data governance, versioning, and security best practices Team-oriented, great communicator, self-starter Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): Familiarity with Power BI Experience optimizing large-scale data systems for performance
