Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional who thrives on tackling complex security challenges across enterprise-scale networks? This is an opportunity to join a global technology leader undergoing a major platform integration project, a chance to shape how security is embedded across their next-generation infrastructure.
We represent a rapidly growing, product-led technology company investing heavily in its security architecture. This role calls for someone with a proven track record, an experienced security engineer who can confidently lead on design decisions, influence stakeholders, and deliver robust solutions in complex environments.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll take ownership of designing and implementing network and infrastructure security controls, ensuring systems are hardened against emerging threats. This includes working with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection technologies. You’ll also play a key role in proactive threat hunting, risk assessments, and incident response — bringing strategic thinking to hands-on technical challenges.
As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work on integrating security best practices into platform and product initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining deep technical expertise with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
Around 10 years’ + experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on network and infrastructure security
Hands-on expertise with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco) and IDS/IPS solutions
Experience with endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender)
Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and threat models (MITRE ATT&CK)
Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, threat hunting, and incident analysis
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent vendor-specific credentials
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and influencing at multiple levels
This is a hybrid role based in North Austin, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite.
If you’re ready to make an impact in a senior role that blends hands-on security engineering with strategic input on a major integration project, we’d love to hear from you.
