We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer, to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Director, Controls Engineering and based in San Jose, CA Location: This role will be based in San Jose, CA. It is fully on-site, in office role. Role and Responsibilities: Develop solutions for fuel cell systems focused around process control and optimal system performance Propose enhancements, optimizations, and failure analysis to existing control strategies Support simulation design and modeling of sub-systems with a data driven approach Education, Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, control systems, or a related field 2+ years’ experience in system automation and energy system development preferred Excellent knowledge of MATLAB and simulation environment Experience with data analysis in Python or MATLAB Experience with C/Python software development and embedded coding Experience with version control software GitHub/GitLab preferred Experience in developing model predictive control Experience in porting algorithms to embedded systems and optimizing code Understanding of diagnostic techniques for system components Desire to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment About Bloom Energy: Bloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
