Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Conflicts Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a legal or law department environment and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will report to the Director of Conflicts and manage conflict checks related to new clients, new matters, and lateral hires. You will conduct in-depth research, interpret findings, and advise on resolutions to ensure compliance with ethical and legal obligations. This position also includes mentoring junior analysts and ensuring the quality and accuracy of all conflict check work.
Responsibilities Conduct conflict checks by reviewing data from internal databases, legal documents, and online research tools to identify potential conflicts of interest. Analyze findings to assess the significance of identified conflicts and recommend appropriate courses of action. Advise attorneys and Managing Directors on conflict issues, providing clear guidance on resolution and ensuring adherence to ethical rules and firm policies. Mentor and train junior analysts , sharing expertise, best practices, and ensuring quality control of all conflict work. Maintain compliance with ABA ethics mandates, legal requirements, and firm risk management standards. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in a legal or professional services environment; conflicts experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree required; degree in a legal field preferred. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and identify relevant information. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Boolean search techniques and conflicts management software. Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels. The salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details. #LI-LP1
