Senior CNC Programmer / Engineer
Seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to join our precision machining team. Location South Dallas Suburbs.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for CAD/CAM-based CNC programming for multi-axis Swiss-style CNC machines (including 5-axis). In addition to programming, you’ll support and improve machining processes, and design custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to drive efficient, high-precision production. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong machine shop background, experience working with exotic materials like stainless steel and titanium, and deep knowledge of complex part manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine CAM programs for 5-axis Swiss CNC machines using CAD/CAM platforms. Simulate and validate toolpaths to ensure precision and collision-free operation. Optimize feeds, speeds, and tool selections for a wide range of exotic and medical-grade materials. Design and build specialized tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support efficient and repeatable part setups. Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times. Troubleshoot and refine processes to maintain high-quality output and minimize scrap/rework. Participate in prototype runs, first-article inspections, and process validations. Support machine operators and provide guidance during setup and production runs. Continuously seek out improvements to CNC programs, cutting strategies, and fixturing methods.
Qualifications
Strong CNC programming experience, ideally in a medical device or precision machining environment. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, or similar) with emphasis on model-based programming. Hands-on experience with 5-axis and Swiss-style CNC machines. Knowledge of tooling and fixture design principles. Background working with titanium, stainless steel, and other exotic materials. Solid understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading. Machine shop floor experience and the ability to collaborate across engineering and production. Experience with Solid EDGE, Fusion 360, or similar CAD tools. Prior exposure to medical device manufacturing and cleanroom requirements. Familiarity with process validation and documentation for regulated industries (FDA, or Aerospace).
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age or veteran status.
