We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer/Project Manager to design airports and civil site development projects in Honolulu. Responsibilities include civil design of airport infrastructure such as runways, taxiways, aircraft aprons, electrical improvements, drainage, and grading. The role involves planning, assessments, design, project management, and construction management of airport infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop and refine engineering designs and solutions for projects. Assess feasibility and soundness of evaluations, identify data needs. Provide technical input during design meetings and workshops. Conduct peer reviews and technical presentations. Perform value engineering and produce reports/memorandums. Project Management Develop and evaluate project plans and design criteria. Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering phases. Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules. Monitor financial performance and coordinate with Project Manager. Client Management & Revenue Engage with clients and support business development. Decision-Making & Leadership Make independent engineering decisions. Lead complex or innovative assignments. Mentor and supervise junior staff. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; PhD can substitute for experience. 7-10+ years post-graduate experience, preferably with airports. Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office 365. Able to pass TSA Security Screening and Background Check. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally. Strong report writing and communication skills. Skills & Abilities Broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Ability to solve complex issues independently. Knowledge of materials, standards, and construction techniques. Physical Demands & Conditions Primarily office work in Honolulu with travel to project sites. Field work may include night shifts and varied schedules.
