We’re hiring a Channel focused Sales Engineer to serve as the dedicated technical lead for a high-impact national partner. The ideal candidate brings deep channel experience, is highly autonomous, and thrives in a fast-paced, partner-centric environment. Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions, particularly in MDR, threat detection, and response, is essential to support technical enablement and pre-sales success. What You Will Do
Act as the dedicated Sales Engineer supporting a major partner Own the technical relationship with the partner’s sales and engineering teams Deliver partner-facing training, demos, assessments, and POCs to drive solution adoption Collaborate with Channel Account Executives and internal teams to align on strategy and sales goals Track the partner’s technical readiness and support enablement efforts to close skill gaps Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the partner sales cycle Articulate Sophos’ differentiation across endpoint, network, MDR, and detection & response solutions Assist in pre-sales support, field engagement, and escalations when required Participate in joint planning sessions, technical reviews, and business development activities What You Will Bring
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales engineering Minimum of 2 years of experience in a channel-focused role Background supporting large national resellers, partners, or VARs Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, with emphasis on MDR, threat detection, or XDR/EDR Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills Self-starter with a competitive mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal direction Proven success in building trusted partnerships and enabling channel growth Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel as needed to support partner events or in-region collaboration Previous experience working for or with large national partners is a plus In the United States, the base salary for this role ranges from $119,000 to $198,100. In addition to the base salary, there's a component for target sales commissions alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
