As our Senior Bookkeeper , you'll bring precision and accountability to the heart of our business, keeping our records accurate and our operations running smoothly. You'll work across departments and reporting lines - supporting project managers, the president, and leadership - bringing a thoughtful, proactive approach to everything from budgeting to reconciliations to cash flow forecasting Why This Role Matters This isn't just a back-office role. As Senior Bookkeeper, you'll play a pivotal part in keeping our financial house in order, helping project teams track budgets, stay ahead of deadlines, and make informed decisions. What You'll Do Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal processes and GAAP guidelines. Record day-to-day financial transactions in our systems, tracking expenses, revenue and other activities. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable - including entry, tracking, and collections. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrep Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections. Support the budgeting process and help monitor actuals vs. budget throughout the year. Monitor cash flow, anticipate expenses, and utilize tools to forecast financial health. Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and timelines. Maintain client and vendor records using platforms like Karma Outlook and Ajera. What You Bring Associate's degree in Accounting; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration a plus. 8-10 years of financial accounting experience in a professional setting. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices. Experience implementing effective financial and operational systems. Proficiency in Office 365 and accounting software (Ajera experience is a plus). Strong attention to detail at a high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Clear and effective communication skills to interact with team and stakeholders.
