Job Details

We’re looking for a Backend Scala Engineer to help architect and scale a next-gen AI platform used by enterprise customers across industries. You’ll join a high-caliber engineering team building intelligent systems that integrate data, inference engines, and scalable APIs to power real-time AI workflows. ? What You’ll Do:

* Design and implement scalable Scala services that handle high-throughput data processing and AI orchestration * Build APIs and microservices to support inference pipelines, data ingest, and model lifecycle events * Collaborate with ML engineers to productize models into production-ready services * Contribute to system architecture, database design, and CI/CD automation * Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews

? Tech Stack:

* Languages: Scala (primary), Python (secondary) * Frameworks/Build Tools: Akka, Play, ZIO, SBT * Infra: AWS, Docker, Kafka, Postgres, GitHub Actions

? What We’re Looking For:

* 5+ years building backend systems with Scala (or functional programming proficiency) * Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture * Experience working on data-heavy or AI/ML-adjacent systems * Startup experience or comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
