Senior Application Engineer, Tube Bending Xometry is seeking an experienced Application Engineer with expertise in Tube Bending to join our team. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for customer quoting, supplier sourcing, and project management. This role requires subject matter expertise in tube bending and fabrication, along with skills in CAD, design for manufacturability, costing, technical communication, and hydraulic tubing knowledge. Responsibilities: Provide cost estimates for manual quotes on tube bending, tube cutting, and metal fabrication products. Assist the Partner Network team in identifying and developing a partner base. Recommend pricing strategies for manual quote projects based on historical win rates, part types, industries, and customers. Understand partner capabilities, identify capability gaps, and guide the sales team on suitable opportunities based on Xometry's capabilities. Collaborate with the auto-quote team to implement automated quoting capabilities for inquiries currently handled manually. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in tube bending, cutting, and fabrication. Minimum of 8 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Effective communication skills with vendors, employees, and the public. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
