Position Title: Lead Engineer –AI & Machine Learning for Conversational Interfaces Location: United States (Dallas preferred)
Role Overview: Join our advanced AI development group to spearhead innovation in conversational technologies. As a Lead Engineer, you’ll architect and deploy interactive voice and chat-based AI systems that engage end-users across diverse digital channels. Your background in language processing, dialogue systems, and machine learning will directly shape our user-facing solutions.
Primary Responsibilities: Engineer intelligent applications supporting both speech and text customer interactions Build and fine-tune custom acoustic and speech recognition models Apply SSML techniques to elevate speech clarity and naturalness Design phonetic overrides and pronunciation guides using IPA or similar notation Evaluate user interactions and conversational flow for performance tuning Partner closely with teams in product strategy, cyber risk, regulatory policy, and software development Translate customer insights and interaction analytics into business-aligned improvements Maintain adherence to industry regulations and internal policy frameworks
Technical Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of software development in NLP/NLU domains At least 5 years of experience deploying conversational AI platforms (e.G., IBM Watson, comparable systems) Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, Python, R, and JSON;knowledge of Node.Js and JavaScript preferred Proven ability to build virtual agents and script dialog interactions Familiarity with conversational UX models like slot filling, fallback logic, intent clarification
Desired Expertise: SaaS-based dialog automation tools and frameworks Enterprise-grade compliance and security protocols for regulated sectors Knowledge of pre-trained transformer models and cognitive benchmarking practices Foundations of IT governance and operational reliability
Core Competencies: Ability to collaborate across disciplines including UX, software architecture, and business operations A mindset geared toward innovation, iteration, and continuous improvement Strong mentorship capabilities and decisive, data-informed judgment
